The Q4000 successfully completed a 13 well campaign for a major operator in the Gulf of Mexico combining both mechanical and hydraulic interventions through Helix’s subsea well access package.
The Helix Q4000 was contracted by a major operator in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico to complete a 13 well intervention campaign across seven different fields in the Gulf of Mexico, with the primary objective being to increase subsea production.
The project utilized Q4000 with riser based IRS and 2 WROV’s from Helix Robotics Solutions for access to the wells. The scopes of work completed included:
- 3 x zonal isolations
- 2 x coil tubing clean outs
- 2 x coil tubing breaker treatments
- 1 x coil tubing milling operation
- 5 x well stimulations
- 1 x SCSSV diagnostics investigation
- 2 x open water tubing pulls
Objectives on all 13 wells were successfully completed including over 41 miles of IRS hops and 44 BSEE submittals. The project provided significant increase in the operator’s production by more than 40K BBls/day, as well as adding over 20K BBLs/day water injection capability.Download full case study
