Rigless subsea intervention anywhere in the world

Well Ops has a range of rigless subsea intervention systems which can be deployed via its intervention vessels or from offshore support vessels via its VDS (vessel deployment system).

Subsea intervention lubricators (SIL) form part of the complement of equipment. The SIL system is available in 5 1/8" and 7 3/8" on the Seawell and new build Well Enhancer vessels, with a 7 3/8" intervention riser system (IRS) on the Q4000.

Well Ops SID (subsea intervention device) can be deployed with Well Ops proprietary Vessel Deployment System (VDS), without the need of rig or specialist intervention vessel.

Intervention riser system

The intervention riser system (IRS) installed on the Well Ops Q4000, enables access to both conventional and horizontal subsea trees in depths down to 5,000 feet.

The IRS system combines rapid response with maximum operational flexibility to meet the specific intervention needs of high rate producing deepwater subsea assets. All required through-tubing subsea well operations can be safely serviced with this system, with multi- disciplinary operations being conducted in a single mobilization. The IRS can be utilised for wireline intervention, production logging, coiled tubing operations, well stimulation, full plug and abandonment operations, plus construction, inspection repair and maintenance.

The intervention riser system allows the Q4000 to respond quickly for subsea well intervention as an alternative to a drilling rig, and deal with issues such as loss of production or other emergency intervention needs, using standard tooling and procedures.

Subsea intervention lubricator system for rigless well operations

The Subsea Intervention Lubricator (SIL) is the forerunner of technology used in Riserless Light Well Intervention. The 5-1/8" system operated on the Seawell, now in its 3rd generation, sets the standard for efficient interfacing with vertical and small bore concentric subsea trees.

The 7-3/8" system in development for the Well Enhancer takes this proven technology one step further by creating a single trip system that gives access to large bore subsea assets in deeper water and the ability to perform safe and efficient Coiled Tubing Operations from a monohull platform.

Subsea intervention device

Rigless subsea intervention into live or abandoned wells

Well Ops Subsea Intervention Device (SID) is a modular subsea lubricator that allows rigless intervention into live or abandoned wells.

When deployed with Well Ops proprietary Vessel Deployment System (VDS), SID can be operated without a rig or specialist intervention vessel. The low cost, light weight system provides access to subsea wells for various wireline activities and makes scheduled and emergency subsea well intervention immediately practical.

Utilizing the SID system can significantly reduce the risk of production deferment and improve reserves recovery through planned data acquisition, emergency well maintenance. The system is also ideal for safety valve remedial work, well maintenance and repair.

The SID permits rig less intervention into subsea wells for production logging, well diagnostics, gas lift change out, production, well performance and reservoir optimisation and reperforating operations.
