William E. Morrice
Vice President – Global Well Ops
Bill Morrice became Vice President of Well Ops, a wholly owned subsidiary of Helix Energy Solutions Group Inc, when the Company formed the Global Well Ops division in December 2006. Well Ops as a Helix business unit was formed in July 2002 following the acquisition of the well intervention vessel MSV Seawell and the Well Operations Business Unit of Technip-Coflexip. The MSV Q4000 and the operating Business Units of Well Ops in the US and in Perth Australia, following the acquisition of Seatrac Pty, were integrated to create the Global division in 2006. Mr. Morrice had previously been with Technip-Coflexip for 13 years, having joined them as a Project Engineer in 1990. Mr. Morrice assumed responsibility for the Well Operations Business Unit that initially operated only from the Seawell in 1995. Mr. Morrice graduated from Robert Gordon’s University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science Degree and Postgraduate Diploma in Offshore Engineering. Further postgraduate studies attained a Postgraduate Certificate in Project Management from Aberdeen University. Mr Morrice is a Council member of IMCA, the International Marine Contractor Association and a Member of the UK based industry Step Change in Safety Leadership Team. |
